PRIORITIES

I was talking to my father-in-law earlier about the SOPA & PIPA laws that were proposed by Congress and have since been “postponed” in the House & Senate, respectively. You may recall earlier this week when Google, Wikipedia and a number of other websites either took themselves offline or posted their objection to these laws. [...]

THE UNIFICATION THEORY

From the beginning of the Republican Primary Debates, I’ve issued the same advice: “Trust, But Verify.” I have not once wavered from this advice. I have ALWAYS insisted that we vet each and every one of our candidates, figure out which ones share our Conservative Principles, and to do our best to make sure that [...]

SO MUCH TO SAY

The problem with writing blog posts is in limiting myself to one topic at a time when there are many things going on. Well, today, I’m not doing that. Instead, I feel like talking about a few different things, so here we go! DÉJÀ VU ALL OVER AGAIN So the House & Senate are once [...]

READ THE BILL

OK, so President Obama’s speech made it clear that he wants Congress to “Pass This Bill Right Away.” In fact, that was the recurring theme for the night. He even urged “every American who agrees to lift your voice and tell the people who are gathered here tonight that you want action now. Tell Washington [...]

SO WHAT HAVE WE MISSED?

OK, so, clearly I’ve taken a little time off from posting, partly to clear my head, and partly because each of the posts I’ve been working on have either needed more attention than I have had time to give them last week, or because I didn’t feel that they successfully conveyed my points. Either way, [...]

LET’S RAISE TAXES

I have to admit that it has taken me a few days to get past the RAGE that I felt hearing President Obama’s (campaign) speech on April 13 at the George Washington University. I’m not the first to say this, but I’ll say it anyway: this was nothing but a President pandering to his base [...]

BEWARE EASY ANSWERS

I’ve noticed a trend in the various blogs and Facebook.com pages dedicated to pointing the Finger of Blame at the Obama Administration for the nation’s ills. As I’ve said before, I disagree with pretty much EVERYTHING that his Administration has done, and pretty much EVERYONE involved with this mess, but blaming Obama is too easy of an answer. While his actions have most certainly caused a dramatic increase in the National Debt and created incredible roadblocks in the way of our economic recovery, it isn’t all Obama any more than it was all Bush. It’s just too easy of an answer.

What is a “Saved Job?”

I’m really not sure how one counts a “Saved Job.” Economists are baffled at the very thought. Still, that doesn’t keep our Government from making the claim.
