Today is a milestone for the MaverickVoice, as I post our 100th Article on the Internet. So, since this is a Special Day, I’m going to do something Special. I’m going to do something dramatically different from what we usually seem to post here. I’m going to share some Good News. In fact, it’s not just Good News for Conservatives, but, in my opinion, it’s Good News for the United States!

Democrats have enjoyed the luxury of calling names and pointing fingers, claiming that Republicans in Congress have become the “Party of No,” an unending obstacle to their Progressive Agenda of Social Justice and Entitlement Expansion. And, with few exceptions, the Democrats have embraced their position as the “Party of I Don’t Care.” Regardless of how many times the People have appealed to their sense of duty, of obligation and political self-preservation, the Democrats have ignored them in favor of a prejudiced position that the People don’t know what they need or want, and that only Government can solve their problems.

Near the end of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” Harry Potter utters these words as the Centaurs drag the evil Dolores Umbridge into the dark forest to punish her for trespassing as she cries out, “Tell them I mean no harm.” As Congress goes on recess, this seems to be the message that Nancy Pelosi would like the Congressional Democrats to convey to their constituents. “Tell them we mean no harm.”

I DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE! Let me be perfectly clear on this: There is absolutely, positively, without a doubt, undeniably NO PLACE in our society for violence. It is unacceptable for ANYONE to take violent action against ANYONE unless you are literally in the moment of DEFENDING YOUR LIFE! Unless there is a weapon in your face threatening the lives of yourself or your family, then violence in ANY FORM is WRONG! (Have I made myself clear? Do you understand what I’m saying?)

I could be wrong about what’s coming, but there’s a distinctive difference between POSSIBILITY and PROBABILITY.

As we approach the point where our Government intends to shove an oppressive and unacceptable “Healthcare Reform Bill” down our collective throats, the final push must begin to resist this oppression. Find out who your Congressional Representative is, in case you don’t know for sure, and contact them. Tell them respectfully, but in no uncertain terms, that you oppose the bill and demand that they vote against it.

The word of the day is COMPROMISE, which is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as “1a: a settlement by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions; b: something intermediate between or blending qualities of two different things; 2: a concession to something derogatory or prejudicial .” Wow, what a great word.
