BYE BYE, OSAMA by T. Edwin Perry
On September 11, 2001, Hijackers seized four airplanes, flying two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one into a field in Shanksville, PA, thanks to the bravery of the other passengers on that flight who would not allow the plane to be used as a weapon. In the days that followed, the United States finally learned a name that they should have already known: Osama bin Laden. (If you prefer, we can go with “Usama,” but the effect is the same.)
On May 1, 2011, after analyzing intelligence, organizing a multi-faceted strike team of Special Forces Operatives from multiple branches of the Armed Services and staging an assault in Pakistan on a walled “Compound” in Abbotabad, approximately 75 miles from the Pakistani Capitol of Islamabad, the news we’ve been waiting almost ten years to hear has finally been shared: Osama bin Laden is dead. (Other ways of saying this: Osama bin Perforated; Osama bin Laden to rest; Osama nagana bother us anymore!)
Let me say this once: Thank you, Mr. President, for fulfilling your duty as Commander in Chief of our Military and authorizing our troops to DO THEIR JOBS. I’ll even overlook your egocentric, narcissistic insinuations of your own Involvement with assembling the team and planning the mission. You signed off on their action: that was enough.
But let’s also be clear about something: the death of Osama bin Laden does NOT END the War on Terror. Our enemies are still out there, and the death of Osama bin Laden will only do three things. First, it will cause a NEW Terrorist to take on the Leadership of Al Qaeda, and we might not know WHO for some time. Second, it will motivate many who were “on the fence” to join the fight. And, third, it is highly likely that we will see new attacks wherever they can find an opening. We are not involved in a war against Islam, but we are absolutely involved in a war against people who despise what we represent in the world: Freedom, Liberty and Justice based on our individual and Self-Evident Human Rights. With the death of bin Laden, we have eliminated a TARGET, but we have not won the war.
Today, we celebrate, but we must remain vigilant. We must be ready to face the challenges that are still ahead of us. I salute our troops who fight daily to stand against those threats to our Nation, and I thank them for their service & sacrifice. We often see stickers reading “Never Forget” on car bumpers, but some of us truly never will, and we really do appreciate the job that you’re doing.
So, simply put, “Bye-Bye, Bin Laden, and Good Riddance!”

Once and for all, justice has been served. Let’s not forget our loved ones and people lost to the dreadful occasion of September 11th. Additionally although Osama may be eliminated, the struggle against terrorism persists. Let’s celebrate the affair, yet let’s in no way forget. God Bless us All.
OK, it seems all done with. United States finally found Bin Laden. One more thing finished for those of us living in the US!
I stumbled upon this info earlier today while in the office. Very educational. Sent the website link to myself and will possibly bookmark it when I get home.
The political timing is too convenient for anyone to believe that OBL is actually dead, especially when our government fails to offer any evidence to that effect. How interesting that Obama claims he gave the order which was actually given in 2001 by President George W. Bush!!! I also see this for election season hoax.
America has humiliated and laughed at the birthers, they want something to grab onto.
Only the stupid and also the real stupid will continue to believe OBL is not in Davey Jones’s locker. I wonder which form; the long or short form death certificate Rush and his sugar daddy Trump shall be demanding.
I have no doubt that OBL (UBL?) is dead. What I’m not totally convinced about is that he was killed in his compound on May 1st. I think the possibility remains that he’s been dead for years and they just found convincing evidence of that fact, or alternatively that they got him out alive but he has since been killed. (Note that I find this second scenario highly unlikely, but theoretically possible.)
Does that make me a conspiracy nut? I suppose it might, but given many of the things that our government has lied about in the past (and I don’t just mean the current administration), a mild dose of *doubt* is usually a good idea.
