Our Founders were well aware of the fact that the Constitution wasn’t a perfect document. It didn’t cover everything, but it did do one thing consistently, and that was to restrict the Powers of Government. Now it’s time to learn about one of the ways those Powers are Restricted!

I’m as frustrated with our Government as I think anyone can be, but there are lines I won’t cross. I won’t cross them because, if I did, I’d be no better than those I criticize. It would appear that James O’Keefe, producer of the ACORN “Pimp & Prostitute” videos, may have forgotten that little fact.

In 1938, the Government created “The Minimum Wage,” essentially the final legislation in FDR’s “New Deal.” In the past year, the Government has added a “Special Advisor” to the President named Kenneth Feinberg, who acts as the President’s “Pay Czar.” His job is to find out who makes TOO MUCH MONEY! Are we on the verge of a MAXIMUM WAGE?

Being Politically Correct doesn’t change a person’s opinions. It doesn’t change the way people judge one another, nor does it alter the way they are treated. It doesn’t eradicate hatred, or prejudice, or discrimination. In fact, the only thing that being Politically Correct does is HIDE the truth, and give people a false opinion of the way things truly are.

When most of us hear the line about Eternal Vigilance, we tend to think about the military, the Guardians of our Great Nation, risking everything to protect our freedoms and liberties from foreign invaders. I’ll admit that I, too, have had a tendency to do so as well, but if you think about it, the Vigilance isn’t about watching the horizon for invaders, but the threat of corruption from the inside.
