While the title of this little observation may seem more like a Direct to DVD Movie, the truth is that it is much more dire than simple schlocky entertainment. You see, we have Zombies in Congress, and the time has come to stop them cold. Let me explain: A Zombie is any form of undead, unthinking, reactionary being. This, in a nutshell, describes most members of Congress perfectly.

Those of us in opposition see the plan as another way for the Government to infiltrate the daily lives of American Citizens. Its inherent creation of a “Public Option” for insurance will likely “compete” Private Insurance Companies into the ground. Taxes and fines will likely result in increases in unemployment, as small business and larger corporate employers may find themselves unable to afford the number of employees that they currently support, let alone adding additional jobs in the future. And these likely results from their plan would result in a dramatic expansion of the “Public Option” program as more and more Citizens find themselves either Unemployed or Underemployed.

There’s a reason why Socialism works in “Star Trek:” IT’S FICTION! But our Government seems to have forgotten this tidbit of information, and is trying to force us into this “future” at Warp Speed! The truth is that Socialism doesn’t work, at least not in our reality, anyway.

The First Amendment tells the Government what it CANNOT do. The Government CANNOT force you to practice any one religion, nor can it stop you from practicing the religion that you choose. The Government CANNOT stop individuals from gathering as a group, and it CANNOT stop those same individuals from challenging the Government if they are wronged. But these Powerful and Important characteristics pale in comparison to this simple fact: The Government CANNOT stop you from speaking out against it, and it CANNOT stop the press from challenging its authority.

What happens? IT INFLATES.

We live in a world where hand sanitizer is mounted to the door at the grocery store. I keep a pump of sanitizer at my desk at my office. I spray down the phone with Lysol. When I use the bathroom, I wash my hands. These are common steps, and they’re useful ways of staying healthy, regardless of what you’re exposed to. So why is there so much fuss about THIS virus?

For him, ETHICS is a primary concern. I’ve never known him to say anything he doesn’t mean. His family has always known that he loved them, because he has always worked hard to support them. In his life, he’s done jobs that he loved, and jobs that he hated, and did them with pride because it was the right thing to do, not because it would bring him fame, fortune or respect. And while his love for his family was always free, we have always been motivated to work hard and apply ourselves in an effort to gain his approval because of the example that his life has set.

Most recently, for those who haven’t been paying attention, he used the same “mud-slinging” campaign tactics that earned him his Party’s nomination for the job to attack Republicans on the House Floor. His argument is that “The Republican Health Care Plan is this: Don’t get sick, and if you do get sick, Die Quickly.”
